Idea

A story of passion for ceramics

Driven by a passion to create meaningful products, Pulvis Art Urns unites a collective of talented artists, ceramists, and sculptors who share a vision for redefining the concept of memorial art. The beginning of the adventure

In 2016, Mihail, Aleksandar, and Denis envisioned creating a portfolio of memorial products that evoke the experience of art. After extensive research into the funeral market and a year of experimenting with clay, glazes, and conceptual designs, their vision became reality with the founding of Pulvis Art Urns.

Forms inspired by art

In 2017, Pulvis Art Urns unveiled its first collection of handmade cremation urns, drawing inspiration from art, sculpting, and spirituality. Iconic designs like "The Christ," "The Holy Mother," "Wings," and "The Passage" were introduced, soon followed by matching keepsakes to complement the collection.

The years 2018 and 2019 marked a period of intense activity and creative evolution for Pulvis Art Urns. During this time, the brand participated in several prestigious global trade shows, showcasing its innovative approach to the funeral industry. To support its growing demand, Pulvis announced plans for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, with construction set to begin soon. This new facility promises to enhance production capabilities while maintaining the brand's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

In an exciting turn, one of Pulvis's urns gained widespread recognition when it was featured in the hit Netflix series Sex Education, showcasing the brand's artistry to a global audience and further highlighting its cultural and emotional impact.

Over the past two years, Pulvis has introduced numerous intricate designs, many of which feature abstract yet organic forms, showcasing the exceptional expertise and creativity of our artists.

In addition to their stunning aesthetic, these urns stand out for their remarkable durability and resistance to environmental factors. This resilience is achieved through a meticulous double-firing process—first at 900°C and then again at 1200°C after glazing—ensuring both beauty and lasting strength.

Mihail Mihaylov

Mihail, a third-generation Bulgarian ceramist, is renowned for his remarkable sculptures that adorn many cities across Bulgaria. His work is defined by extraordinary design and profound symbolism, setting it apart as true artistry. With over 30 years of experience, Mihail serves as the lead ceramist at Pulvis Art Urns, where he oversees a team of highly skilled ceramic artists. Under his guidance, the team is dedicated to achieving unparalleled quality and aesthetics in every urn they create, transforming each piece into a meaningful work of art.

Alexander Yuzev

Aleksandar is a highly acclaimed conceptual artist with an impressive portfolio of international exhibitions across Bulgaria and Europe. A graduate of the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, he brings over 15 years of expertise in conceptual and modern art, earning numerous honors and awards for his work. Aleksandar’s longstanding collaboration with Mihail played a pivotal role in shaping the original vision of Pulvis Art Urns, blending artistic innovation with meaningful design to create truly exceptional memorial pieces.

Denislav Nikolov

Denis brings extensive expertise in marketing, social media, and project management, making him an integral part of the Pulvis Art Urns team.
